The Fall Open House at The Salvation Army Greater Philadelphia on September 12th brought families together for a community engagement day centered on connection, participation, and access.

There was free food, music, raffles, giveaways, and health assessments. There were also flying drones, brought by Grace3 Technologies.

Technology Belongs in Community Spaces

The drone activity was part of the larger open house, not a separate technology event. Families could encounter emerging technology in the same setting as a health assessment table, a raffle, music, and shared food.

That matters.

When people experience technology in familiar, everyday community spaces, it becomes more approachable. A drone is no longer something distant or specialist. It becomes something that can be seen, discussed, and understood as part of the community.

This is how interest begins. It starts with exposure, curiosity, and the opportunity to see advanced tools in a setting that feels accessible.

Creating Access Through Impact

At Grace3, our Impact work connects communities with hands-on experiences in drones, robotics, and emerging technology. We brought the drones to the Fall Open House because technology access belongs alongside the other services and activities that strengthen a community.

The same mission supports Pilot Prodigies, our drone and robotics education initiative. Pilot Prodigies develops early exposure to the tools, skills, and possibilities that can lead to future pathways in aviation, engineering, public safety, and technology.

A community open house and a structured education program serve different purposes. Together, they create continuity. One introduces families to what is possible. The other builds deeper knowledge and experience over time.

A Shared Community Day

The Fall Open House reflected the value of bringing practical resources and positive experiences together. Free food, music, raffles, giveaways, health assessments, and flying drones each contributed to a welcoming day at The Salvation Army Greater Philadelphia.

We were proud to contribute the drone experience and to support an environment where families could engage with technology naturally.

Community impact does not always require a large production. Sometimes it means placing the right experience in the right setting and making it available to the people who are there.

It was a good day.
